In their design and the tones they are capable of producing synthesizers are well-equipped to facilitate the expression of one's imagination. Playing under the name D*Time, Mark Scheper instills his Electronic Music with his own creativity - offering something greater than the mere sensation of sound. His Nightwoven (55:58) holds nine tracks, each its own spacey, synthetic, smartly shifting dream zone. Motoring from moment to moment, toward a far off secret signal, this album seems like it is emanating from across space and time. Traveling through a rare region of color and mood Nightwoven swirls in a shower of sparks - then spirals energetically beneath a crafted nocturnal atmosphere. With its resonant waves and ascending forms, cycling sequencer lines echo and pulse in a human activity connected to identity, celebration and play. As luxe synth-strings advance in harmonic progression, lilting melodic motifs wind out over twilit soundscapes. Stirring the imagination of the musician and listener alike this work has been realized with creative verve - with every resolution leading us further past the midnight hour. Within this audible extension of thought, messages move from the mind of the artist to that of the listener. Amidst darkened modulations and tamed voltages Nightwoven winds down to a whisper - murmuring that while night does fall over our land, the dawn always rises on the promise of a new day.
